Encryption?

Postby sansibar » Mon May 11, 2009 3:36 pm

Hi Thomas

t2remotetouch looks cool. Is there any encryption built in for the remote access? VPN, SSL?
Or is this just an open connection which opens a potential security vulnerability in my lan?

Thanks and keep up the good work
regards from switzerland

Thanks ! You are the first poster on this forum ;)

Ofcourse !
I am very paranoid about security of my home computer.

There is encryption when you use a password.
That's why I strongly recommend everyone to use a password.

The password should be at least 8 characters (uses alphabets & numbers)
Make sure the password is different to anything you used for anything else as well.

Everything gets encrypted when you set a password:
Screen information, keyboard & mouse presses and file transfers.

I plan on upgrading the encryption (stronger encryption) used possibly in 2.1.

The less I tell about the encryption method used the better ...
Let's just say multiple encryption techniques are used.

So this is the classical "Security through obscurity".
