CANT CONNECT TO PORT 3230

I have a sprint htc touch running windows mobile 6.1

I had been using t2remote touch 1.3 successfully till this last
week.Now all i get is cant connect.

So i uninstalled it from
the phone and computer then reinstalled and still got the
same problem.

So i uninstalled 1.2 and installed 2.0 and still get the same problem
only this time it says cant connect to port 3230.

What is going on here?

So all of a sudden it stopped connecting ?
There should be no reason for Remote Touch to just stop working like that for no reason.

I suggest you make sure you didn't install any firewall or something which prevents Remote Touch from communicating.
Also how are you connecting ? Within your home router or through external network ?
If external, also make sure port forwarding settings have changed and that your external ip address hasn't changed etc.

Regarding 2.0 error about 'Can't connect to port 3230'.
Something else is running on 3230 so the 2.0 server can use that port.
Before installing a Remote Touch version, make sure there isn't an older version running.
Quit and then reinstall ...

i have everything set as i aways have it

i am connected to my laptop using my cable as my internet

there is also another user here in the forum with the same problem
that they cant connect and they also have an htc touch

if nothing else is using port 3230, why cant it connect

uuuuhh never mind,

On my computer i went to
http://whatismyipaddress.com

Then i went to the remote touch application on my phone and i changed the ip listed to
the ip that http://whatismyipaddress.com/ showed was my computer ip
and voila, remote touch now works

i have no idea how my computer ip changed since i have internet service
through cable which means im always connected
