Some remote server issues

Postby cnecorp » Wed May 27, 2009 9:33 am

Hi Sanjay

Some quick feedback

1. Remote server does not work too well when there are multiple users, it tries to open the same port number and gives an error
2. Once established under the first user, you cannot log in if the user times out and it goes back to log in screen, just shows black screen
3. ditto if someone logs into another user
4. Logmein gets around this issue bu creating a new user called logmein remote.

Hope you will be able to resolve this one.

:)

Hey Ed !

1. Yes.
Remote Touch on the mobile lets you control different computers,
but each computer will only let one person connect to it.
Once one person stops control of the PC, the next person can control the PC.
If the person loses connection, after a minute you can log back in ...
You can think of this as Remote Desktop. Only one person can be logged in at any one time.

2. Yes, currently Remote Touch Server only runs while you are logged in.
If you log out, the Server stops running so you can't log in.
On the feature request page, I have a make Remote Touch a service which is
regarding this. I haven't started work on this feature yet ... but it's one of my
higher priority features.
